This page explains how 4divers uses cookies and similar storage on its web properties. The iOS and Android apps do not use cookies — they use secure on-device token storage instead.

What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser by a website. Cookies help sites remember you between visits.

Cookies We Set

1. Session Cookie (session)

• Purpose: Authentication — keeps you signed in between page loads on the web app.
• Domain: app.4divers.app (host-only; not shared with www.4divers.app).
• Duration: 30 days, or until you sign out.
• Flags: HttpOnly; Secure; SameSite=Lax — the cookie is inaccessible to JavaScript and only sent over HTTPS.
• Strictly necessary: Yes. The web app cannot function without it once you sign in.

Third-Party Cookies

We use Google Sign-In (GSI). During the sign-in flow, Google may set cookies under accounts.google.com governed by Google's Privacy Policy. These are temporary and cleared after authentication completes.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may set a performance cookie (__cf_bm) to distinguish genuine traffic. This cookie contains no personally identifiable information.

No Tracking or Advertising Cookies

4divers does not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Managing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent sign-in on the web app. To use 4divers without cookies, download the iOS or Android app instead.
